Age of Agartha · last updated 6 September 2026

The short version. The game is free. Play it, enjoy it, do not be cruel to other people in chat, and do not try to break it for everyone else.

It is made by one person in their own time. It will sometimes have bugs, and it comes with no promises that it will work perfectly or last forever. Keep your own backup of anything you would be sad to lose.

Playing

Age of Agartha is free. There is nothing to buy, no currency to purchase, no subscription and no advertising. If that ever changes, it will be announced clearly before it does, and never applied retroactively to something you already have.

You may play it for fun, stream it, record it and write about it, without asking. What you may not do is copy the game itself. All rights in it are reserved.

Accounts

You do not need one. If you make one:

You can delete your account at any moment from Settings → Cloud save. It takes your stored save and your leaderboard row with it.

Display names and chat

Setting a display name puts you on the public leaderboard and unlocks chat. Both are seen by strangers. Choose accordingly, and never put anything real about yourself in either.

The rules, in full:

Break these and we can remove your name, wipe your leaderboard row, or close your account. For something serious we will do it immediately and without warning. For something minor you will usually get a word first, because most people are not trying to be a problem.

Reporting someone

If someone is breaking the rules above:

Reports are read by a person, usually within a couple of days. Anything involving a child's safety or a credible threat jumps the queue and is acted on the same day it is seen. We would rather get ten reports that turn out to be nothing than miss one that was not.

If a report concerns you, you can ask what was decided and say your side.

What we promise, and what we do not

We will run the game honestly, fix what we can, and tell you the truth about it.

We do not promise that it will always be available, that it will be free of bugs, or that your cloud save is permanent. It runs on free hosting tiers. Services go down, projects get paused, data can be lost, and one person cannot offer a bank's guarantees.

So keep your own copy. The game can export your save from Settings, and doing that occasionally is the only real protection against losing progress. This is not a disclaimer to hide behind — it is a genuine warning, and it is why the export button exists.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for lost progress, lost time, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer that cannot be signed away. If you are in the UK or EU, you keep every one of those, whatever this page says. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.

Other players

Chat carries what other people type, live and unreviewed. We do not screen it before you see it, and we are not the author of it. If someone says something vile, that is on them — but it is on us to act once we know, and the report address above is how we find out.

Ending things

You can stop at any time and delete your account from Settings. We can close an account that breaks the rules above, and we can retire the game itself — if we ever do, we will give notice and make sure you can export your save first.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator is established, and nothing in this clause deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, or of your right to bring a claim in your local courts.
